If you're using this for something like .45 Colt, the cartridge loops will be way too tight out of the wrapper to accept them. Easy fix. Place unit in a container large enough to cover it with hot tap water. Allow to soak for approximately an hour. Remove and shake off excess water. While leather is still damp, shove 12 cartridges into the loops and set aside until completely dry.This is preferable to the loops being too large and form fits the loops to your caliber.

When I first opened the package I thought I was sent a .38 vs .45.  I initially could not fit the snake shot into the loops.  I had to first work a standard jacketed soft point into the loop to get it to expand out.  I have arthritis so this was a bit taxing.  One loop on the end looked barely big enough to fit  the .38 but I eventually got the leather to stretch out .  I let it sit for a few minutes and then was able to work the .45 LC snake shot into the loop.  You definitely need to flatten it out as it wants to curve when all loops are full.  Overall happy with the product and will consider another one.

Feels cheap. Thin, flexible leather and light thread used in stitching. This carrier will not hold up to every day use. .38/.357 ammo fits ok. No go on the .44/.45. Way too tight.
