Review: The real deal - high quality and extremely hard wearing - I use this tape for this tape for wrapping my thumbs for barbell lifting in the gym. My left thumb has poor mobility from a pre-existing injury, so I need to tape it to reduce skin friction/slipping even when using a mixed grip on the bar. I don't think that's the most common use for this tape, it reminds me more of the kind of tape that I've seen used for wrapping the toe/blade on hockey sticks etc. The tape is relatively thick cotton type tape that has a strong adhesive but the fabric feels more like cloth/clothing than a plaster or bandage, it is closely woven and is not stretchable. It is quite different from the softer stretchier tape often used for thumb wrapping, but I find those less good since the stretch means they can pull away more easily from your skin under load. This on the other hand stays put. It also cuts to size very easily. If I had one criticism for the tape, in this usage at least, it would be that the surface is relatively smooth and non-grippy. It doesn't provide as good a grip as some other tapes for this reason.

**Q: is this what people use to wrap their pullup bars?**
A: I have it on a metal pull-up bar outdoors in Maine. It works very well. Excellent grip even in rain and extreme cold.

**Q: Would this tape be good to wrap the grip area of an olympic eight bar?**
A: Used to wrap below my knee, withstood water & provided support.. also wrapped pickleball paddle.. hope this helps

**Q: Can I wrap this on my dumbbells handles?**
A: Yup, but IMO, it won’t last long. I used to wrap my jump rope handles in this stuff, but the edges kept curling up quickly. Like within a week of use

**Q: Can I use this to wrap my gym equipment?**
A: Yes you can.  I have it on my pull-up bar outside and it is still good. I realize it won’t last forever and I’m about to add another wrap to it.  It adds a good grip and the adhesive appears to be strong.

I have been getting blisters on my toe since starting up martial arts training again. Used these to tape up my big toes to stop the blisters caused by the rubbing against their wooden floor. Ot sticks well and last the entire two hour class. I will buying again for sure.
