## Overview

The Premier 1 PortaTrough™ 5 is a 61-inch long, heavy-duty polyethylene feed and water trough designed for durability and ease of use. Weather-resistant and stable, it accommodates up to 8 sheep or 10 goats, features a rounded base to prevent tipping and ice damage, and includes a side handle for convenient emptying. ## Description

PortaTrough 5 is long enough to enable rapid feeding of sheep and goats yet short enough that they can easily be carried by hand or ATV. Feeds about 8 adult sheep in full fleece (3 along each side and 1 on each end.) or 10 adult goats. Can be used to feed or water sheep, goats, livestock protection dogs, ducks, geese and poultry. For grain, salt, mineral or water. High sides prevent feed from being knocked out and wasted. Can be set right on the ground in all weather conditions. Difficult for sheep and goats to tip over. Stack inside of each other for easy movement and storage. Easy to stack and carry on ATV's or farm vehicles. Side handle allows it to be inverted with a toe to tip out water or ice. Won't break if water freezes in it, as the rounded inner trough allows ice to expand upward as it freezes. Base is approximately 61" long x 12.5 " wide and depth is 6.25". Made of heavy duty polyethylene.

Review: Rugged, used with shelter dog playgroups - We've used this trough for dogs' drinking water at an animal shelter and it's worked great. The shape and curved bottom discourage dogs from stepping in it, but they still do sometimes. At least they can't roll around in it like those kiddie pools. Kiddie pools last a few months and then spring leaks, I doubt if this trough will ever spring a leak unless someone drives a car over it.

We've used this trough for dogs' drinking water at an animal shelter and it's worked great. The shape and curved bottom discourage dogs from stepping in it, but they still do sometimes. At least they can't roll around in it like those kiddie pools.
