Recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great for a Raspberry Pi 5 Dev Kit Because the Linux Kernel Has a Bug *by M***O on January 12, 2025* If you have a device that works on everything but a Pi 5 dev kit, likely you've hit a USB kernel bug, and you need a hub between the device and the Pi. This does that, and it's all in just a cable. Magic. And you get an extra USB port out of it. And it's just a cable. USB HID devices are especially a problem (including UPS devices, because apparently an uninterruptible power supply is a Human Interface Device); likely to be fixed soon-ish, but for now, a cable with a little bump in it that's a wholeass hub works well.
