It wasn’t the most expensive one out there and doesn’t have a lot of the fancy stuff, but it’s not the cheapest one either. I chose the middle ground because it has a good track history with lots of nice features and options, and it has all the features my gift recipient wants in an MP3 player. It can play MP3 and MP4 files, it can operate as an FM receiver, an ebook reader, and a voice recorder. This model also includes a 16 GB micro SD card that can easily be changed out with other micro SD cards, up to 64 GB in size, so you can load up whatever you want and change them out as needed. Plus it’s small and can fit easily in your hand or pocket and it’s very inconspicuous if you don’t want people to see that you’re using it, unlike other tablets or smartphones that are virtually impossible to hide. The only thing I want to point out is that you do have to use regular earbuds with it, it is not Bluetooth enabled. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, just something you should be aware of.UPDATE 12/22/16: Okay, when I purchased this item and wrote the review, this ran $20 so yeah, at that price it was what I considered to be a middle-of-the-road player as far as price goes. Thanks to a comment on my review I now see it's well over $50 and no, for that price there are plenty of other players out there with a ton more features giving you a bigger bang for the buck. I am deducting a star for the price hike which I consider to be a bit much for this particular player. (For those of you that remember the TV show "In Living Color": "Homey don't play like that ...") ### ⭐ will be looking for another MP3 *by H***A on April 18, 2017* Extremely cheap, broke after a few days, the interface sucks and isnt very friendly even if it was working. the headphones i plug into my phone and computer are fine but as soon as i plug them into this mp3 the music gets shaky and it skips constantly. i do work at a job where it may hit things occasionally. my ipod never had an issue with it. so maybe if you never drop it or use it in a way that is gentle, but yes it feels extremely cheap. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Old School but it works *by I***R on March 17, 2017* Battery Life not very long. But other than that I like it.
