Review: Excellent value for money - This ASUS VG27AQ sports the usual ROG-Esque aesthetics in spite of the TUF Gaming branding and is absolutely brilliant and for the price, it has so many awesome features and performs beyond my expectations. This is a high-resolution display that has zero dead pixels (I was worried about this) it is sharp and crisp and happily runs at 2560 x 1440 @ 165Hz, this is higher than advertised and it is flicker-free. I found a company on the internet that had carried out an in-depth and very extensive review and calibration using "Blur Busters TestUFO Motion Tests and the Data Color Spyder5ELITE Display Calibration System". I contacted them via email prior to purchasing this monitor and they were happy to send me the ICC Profile that they had created, this was set as the default within Windows 10 Pro and the result is superb. I am highly delighted with this monitor as the build quality is far superior to what I was expecting and the ease of setting up and operation makes this an absolute bargain in my opinion.
Review: Excellent Value For Money - This monitor has a decent picture, refresh rate and Gsync making it a great gaming monitor. I have a 3090 graphics card I care more about a consistent frames per second than having a stupidly high resolution. QHD is a great compromise for me in that there’s a much higher pixel density than HD but I can still run modern games on maxed out settings - this will depend on your graphics card though. There’s some useful additional features such as ‘training mode’ where you can get the monitor to display a target on the centre of the screen. This is useful for some shooters when the game doesn’t display a target and you have to use gun sights eg allowing you to accurately headshot when firing from the hip. Overall I think this a great monitor for the money

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this monitor have an optical passthrough?**
A: Yes

**Q: I the monitor vesa compatible (a monitor arm)**
A: Yes

**Q: Resolution is blurry on new vg249q monitor at native 1080p. can i fix this or is it just a faulty panel i need to return?**
A: Maybe the monitor itself is like this because my 24. 5" 1080p monitor is also a bit blurry compared with my another24" 1080p monitor. I have tried all the setting options on the monitor but it's still a bit blurry. My advice is that if you think it is too blurry then you can return it. If it's okay for you, you can contact customer service and tell them the situation.(I think it's okay for me and I didn't return but I don't know how blurry your monitor is)

**Q: Does this monitor mostly work out of the box or do any settings need tweaking?**
A: For me it was great out of the box. Think I reduced the brightness slightly but the colours were spot on.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing monitor
*by M***N on 3 March 2022*

I found this on offer for £299 instead of £450 so snapped it up. A lot of people reviewing this and giving it 1 star for having no UK plug simply havent looked inside the box properly. I too didnt see the plug so contacted amazon who then sent me a link for a plug and reimbursed me the amount for that plug. It was only when this plug had arrived that i properly opened the box and found the originally supplied UK plug... Couldnt fault amazons customer service at all! As for the monitor, mine has no dead pixels and a beautiful colour profile straight out of the box. Enabled the OC function to get 165hz and also setup up Nvidia Gsync along with ELMB and in games like rocket league where i get 120fps and call of duty at 100fps, the gameplay is so smooth compared to my previous 60hz monitor. Turning the graphics settings down to reach 165fps solid, its an amazing gaming experience from a flawless screen! For £300, its a superb price and begs the question, if this is sooo good, then what would a £1000+ samsung odyssey G9 be like!?!?
