They do what they are designed to do. - I am no dentist, so I can't tell you what a dentist would think about them, however I got them to pull a couple of teeth out of my own mouth that were giving me heck. I don't have dental insurance and I'd rather not have to take out a loan to get a couple of teeth pulled. Fat and skinny, they got the job done. They have been useful in a couple of other, non-dental, prying and pulling jobs as well. They look and feel like they are going to last. They are not corroding. Review: Nicely crafted, sturdy and a bit heavier than I expected. - Let me start by saying I am not in the dental profession. DIY is my mantra and getting the right tool for the job has saved me lots of heart-ache. But sometimes the right tool is in the eye of the builder(?!). I bought these to pull one of my own very loose teeth, but these are not easy to maneuver; especially, if bumping—instead of grabbing your own loose tooth is painful! Lol smh! I ended up continuing to loosen tooth by hand each day. Why give these a 5-star rating? What makes me very happy that I bought these? I put them in my tool bag! I have used them many times in the past couple of weeks! They are really heavy-duty. Easy to open and close in my medium size hands (excellent machining of mechanical components).
