In my exerience with other extension sockets that have a green light it soon fades and stops working anyway, so the fact this one doesn't have one is no bother to me. The benefits of this extension in terms of construction and fitting outwiegh the loss of the green light for me. I would recommend it. **Q: Does each switch illuminate when it is switched ON?** A: If the indicator is on, it means that the switch is powered on. **Q: How do I know whether a fuse needs a replacement or not?** A: As with any device: if the device will not work. With THIS device: if you switch on a socket and there is no light, then problem; although indicator lights can last a shorter time than switches, so use a device you know is fine. The only way to check individual fuses, other than plugging a device into a wall socket (which you know is working) directly, is to test the fuse. If you don't have a continuity tester / fuse tester, easiest is a paperclip, insulating tape and a torch. Use insulating tape on middle of paper clip (to ensure YOU are not completing the circuit). Unscrew base of torch, put fuse against end of battery, use paperclip to touch other end of fuse to main case: voila continuity tester. If the torch works, the fuse is fine. If the plug is sealed / moulded, use a screwdriver on the plastic fuse holder - CAREFULLY or you will stab yourself. Unsealed - open whole plug with a screwdriver.
