I’m pretty athletic and found that if I hopped on it like a pogo stick with both feet it seemed to be easier than bearing down with only one leg after a prolonged time of using. Would not be safe though with someone not as agile or with poor balance and attempting this technique I was using. Another thing is please don’t try to do this with flip flops as my wife did. Ridiculous! Wear boots or tennis shoes. Overall, good product ! Would diff recommend! Love that you can replace tines if needed. But, they are solid and think this tool will last awhile if not lifetime. Other thing I might add is I prefer the 3 tines. I found it easier to get into tight areas. Made it easy to use! Would def recommend. It’s hard work, to aerate so be ready to do small areas at a time. Don’t be trying to do your whole yard. I was full body sweating after a hour of cooking! This really for tough compacted spots in local areas. I waited after light rain to break my Lanzie out. Worked so good. Hollow tines work well to extract compacted soil. After I got done, I cleared out the tines with a screwdriver.
