The first thing I did with it was to run an duration test with a new, fully charged, DeWalt 20v 2.0Ah battery, PN DCB203. The light was set to full (high) brightness and both halves of the light stick were enabled. The test was done at a temperature of 69°F. My result was ther the light ran for 2h 19m before the first double flash indicating that the battery was getting low. It then went through several two flash warning cycles before finally shutting down at 2h 33m. The light stayed bright enough to be useable for the duration of the test. I’m not sure how the other reviewer got 1.5h with his 2.0AH battery. Possibly his battery was approaching end of life or defective or he was using a 3rd party “DeWalt equivalent” replacement battery that claimed to provide 2.0AH but, as is typical with the cheap replacement battery’s, only had a little more than half of the claimed capacity available. So, extrapolating from my test and assuming a linear relationship between AH capacity and runtime, a new fully charged DeWalt 5.0AH should keep this light going at its brightest setting for approximately 6.375 hours. **Q: How long is light when folded at its smallest and is there a case for it?** A: Hello -The lightweight Cordless Hood Light is super convenient to carry and stow at 26-1/2 in. folded and 6-3/4 lbs.
