Everything fits snugly and the holes are properly aligned. As for the magnets, they hold weakly to my refrigerator, but since my TV is in the bedroom, I didn't need them and was fearful they'd mess with other nearby electronics. However, they simply pop out if you don't need them, no surgery required. As for the glow feature, I left the remote in the sun for a few hours and it did indeed glow a faint blue.
