This might be my first review on desertcart. After using this high chair for the first day, I feel compelled to leave a review for it, so that it will be easier for other parents to make a decision. My son is 2 month old, so he diesn't need a high chair to eat yet. But he likes to interact with us, eye contact, talking, etc.. When we have dinner, we used to put him on a baby swing, which is too low, and he is not at the same level with us. He will get bored very soon and one of us has to constantly look down and talk to him. This high chair, with the adjustable seat that can be almost flat, is so comfortable for the baby and now he can comfortably sit at the table with us. And we can push him near us wherever we are. The quality of this chair is impeccable, I feel it will last forever. And, it's so intuitive, I don't even need to look at the manual to put it up, and make all the adjustment. It's such an engineer wonder. You will know what I am talking about when you use it. It's so user friendly. Some other reviews said it's hard to clean. I really don't know what they are talking about. The seat can be wiped clean easily, it can't be easier than this. I strongly recommend this high chair. Review: great high chair, great customer service - I love this high chair, and the Peg Perego customer service can't be beat. I haven't found the stationary front wheels to be a problem - we have a tiny kitchen and when my baby is in the high chair, I lock the casters on GO and can roll it wherever I need it. The movement is smooth and easy. I'm also impressed with how compact it folds down - since it stands on its own, we fold it up, push it up to the kitchen table as if it were a chair, lock the wheels to STOP, and that works for us for now. It's also super stylish, and I get compliments from friends - everybody wants to know where I got this high chair. Luckily I caught a flash sale on desertcart and got it for a steal. Note that when you first get it, the arms will probably be a bit warped, and the tray table won't line up with the holes. You have to do a bit of work to get the tray in and out, and it's not a one-handed operation. I called Peg Perego and was told by their customer service that this is a known issue and has to do with how the frames are shipped and stored, and was advised to store the tray table in place in the arms for a week or two. So far this is working, and the arms are slowly correcting themselves. It's not fully corrected after a week, but it's on track to be fixed in another week or so. They did send me another frame but it had the same issue. I've been impressed with their level of customer service through this process, even if it was a little frustrating to get such an expensive high chair that had a warp issue. But that's literally the only issue with this chair, and since it's easily fixed and doesn't really detract from the high chair I can't knock any stars off because I love everything else about it. It's clearly a high quality item, every component is well made and works well, it's easy to keep clean as almost everything detaches, and my baby enjoys sitting in it. Or is it easy to wipe it clean?** A: No. It's very easy to wipe clean with the exception of the straps. The chair is some sort of fake leather (but not cheesy looking). The fabric straps tend to need a bit more scrubbing if stained but usually they don't get too dirty if you use a large bib. **Q: Did you use this also as a piece of 'furniture' for your infant? i.e. baby in it facing you while watching tv etc. so baby could be up high and near?** A: Absolutely! It's a beautiful baby sitter. Every time I got home from work and had to prepare dinner I would put him in the chair to play with toys and just watch me make dinner. It's a wonderful high chair. It looks beautiful in our kitchen. Can't imagine having a typical bulky ugly high chair after having this one. Worth every penny. No regrets. **Q: Is leg rest removable, or can it swing back out of the way for a tall child? Would there be a fit issue for a baby in 97th % for height/weight?** A: The leg rest does adjust all the way back but our son has been in 98+ % since birth and he still uses the foot rest (he is now 2) **Q: Can you 'unlock' the wheels so you don't have to hold the buttons down to move the chair? Also, how much hand strength is needed to remove the tray?** A: I believe you cannot unlock the wheels. And it's better like that for safety reasons. You don't want your little one cruising on furniture that moves around. Also the strength needed to remove the tray is not so much. I love this high chair. I have it for 2.5 years and now using it with my 8 month old baby after using it with my first kid. He is now 2.8 years old. It's a great high chair, it doesn't take much space as you can fold it and it's pretty durable.
