Review: Helps in ways I hadn't thought of! It is a winner. - Fits well and is highly visible day and night. We live in a wooded rural area. Bow & Arrow hunting season is starting. Our dog is 52 lbs and medium sized but has coloring consistent with deer this time of the year. We have always put orange vests on our dogs during deer hunting season, both bow and firearm. This vest is the best one we have had. It fits well and is well tolerated by our dog, Gladys. Sometimes during the day she goes out multiple times so I just leave the vest on. She doesn't give any indication she prefers it off. It is extremely reflective day and night so I can see her in the woods and locate her easily, an added "activities of daily living" benefit. We ordered the size recommended in the size chart and it fits well with easy velcro adjustments. She has tested its "washability". What ever nasty stuff she rolled in washed off easily in the sink and it dries quickly. The material sheds burrs and general dirt and debris from the woods so doesn't require frequent cleaning and appears very durable. So far, it is a WINNER.

**Q: Is this the same as the Petflect Vest?  My dogs are very rough on these, and Petfleck usually only last a season.  Need durability - double stitching?**
A: I don't know about the Petflect Vest.  My dog is very rough on his and it seems to be holding up okay and I really like how it fits nicely. I think the company would be wise to have more rugged velco for larger dogs who are extremely active.  Ours will come off if rolling on his back and I did have to stitch it up once when the front attachment came off.   And no it is not doubled stitched.

**Q: What is the length of the vest like from neck down the back to the tail? Our new rescue dog is skinny but has a very long body ... Thanks!!**
A: Hello,The vest from the "V" point of the vest to the tail is about 17.5 inches.  It's important that when sizing your dog not to measure from the collar.  The vest lays back from the neck to give room for a collar or a harness clip.  If you measure about 3 inches from the collar that is where the vest will lay at the neck and then measure 17.5 inches to the tail.  These measurements are for the vest sized Large. **Q: My dogs chest is 35.5 inches but his neck is only 21. What size would fit him best? He's a 4 yr old 85 pound german shepherd.**
A: I purchased a large for my golden retriever mix Who was 76 pounds at the time. He is down to 69 pounds now. It still fits fine.  His neck is 19 inches and his chest is 31 inches. Hope this helps.

Fits well and is highly visible day and night. We live in a wooded rural area. Bow & Arrow hunting season is starting. This is such a great vest! We live out in the woods and have a lot of hunters around. The size fit my big guy perfectly and made him very visible this does not stretch so make sure you size correctly! I love the fact this keeps my boy safe and he loves wearing his vest so it must be comfortable. Easy to Velcro on and off and Velcro has a strong hold. I also love the fact the silver is reflective for nighttime which is such a big help!
