First, I sprayed the entire interior - the cling, the floor, carpets, chairs, dashboard, and the steering wheel. The smoke smell "disappear" because it was covered by the spray. I let it sit over night, and the next day, I open the window and let the alcohol like smell go. Two days later, the smoke smell gets strong again. I did the same process 2 days later, same result. Then, I washed all carpets, the floor, and the cling with cleaner and soap. Then I use this product again. After a few days, the smoke smell is down to about 5% of the smell before.So, it works, but don't expect it works magically. I have bought both the Big Gone Smoke and their 8 pack of Gone Smoke personal smoke eliminator. The Big Gone smoke is the strongest smelling, and I would use it if I just wanted to get rid of the smoke smell on my furniture and such, but not if I were trying to hide the fact that I smoked. The chemical smell would be a tip off for any suspecting wife, boss, or occasional cop. I recently quit smoking and wanted to get rid of the stale smoke smell out of my car. There was also a strange mildew smell lingering that I need to get rid of and air freshener wasn't doing the trick. So in the evening, I sprayed this all over my car seats, floor and carpet mats. I even went into the trunk and sprayed in there too. Basically, anything that was fabric in my car I sprayed. At first the smell was over powering, however, the following day went into my car to go to work, the car smelled fresh almost like new. It's been five days and the smell of smoke is absolutely gone and my car finally smells clean again.
