I have an average to slightly smaller than average face/head for an adult male and it was a great fit, but could adjust either way. I would recommend large for any average adult. **Q: do you breath in through your nose mouth or both and when you dive do you blow out through your mouth or nose?** A: You can breath though your nose or mouth. But aware you can't dive. Your O2 is VERY limited if you go under the water. I have a generally small face and regular goggles were too big for my face and never fit properly- this mask is super comfortable, doesn’t leak, and I can breathe normally for extended periods of time while looking underwater - my view is crisp and clear and I haven’t had any issues with fogging either.
