The steamer is smaller than I thought but filling up to the line I was able to fix two dolls with one tank full. I tried on two different hair types, one straight and one curly. On the straight hair I just gently steamed until I could brush through, the temperature wasn't too hot but enough to give the hair some shine. The curly hair I put in rollers and ran the steamer until the hair was damp enough to let set and cool and could remove the rollers. Both turned out great! If you're fixing up dolls with similar wigs and are worried about burning the doll with a flat iron or yourself trying to boil wash, this is a good alternative. It's easy to set up after reading the directions and filling, warms up nicely, and will dry quickly. The size was also easy to work with, I thought it was going to be bigger and harder to maneuver. Cannot get tank to fully empty and cannot shake out the debris. Not sure how Conair can market this as "green" when it requires distilled water to use and is completely made of non-recyclable plastic.. **Q: Can I steam clothing that is laying flat?** A: No. You have to have clothing/fabrics hanging on a hanger or something similar/clothes pin/rod. If you tip the steamer the water will just run out and it could burn you. The steamer needs to remain upright for usage. **Q: Do you need to keep your finger pressed on a button the entire time you are steaming or can you put it in a lock position?** A: After you fill it with water and turn it on that is all you do. It warms up and out comes the steam until the water runs out. Then shut it off and add more water and turn it back on and keep steaming. **Q: if I am steaming something on the ground, and have to tilt it, would it drip?** A: Yes, I’ve never tried it but based on how it’s made, it would drip. It is not an iron. I’ve tilted it slightly and that is fine but I hang my shirts, skirts, pants on a hanger and steam. I’ve steamed curtains while hanging.
