Review: Safe and secure at a reasonable price - I bought these for dog walking in local fields during the recent spell of snow and ice, so this review is not based on trekking in the Himalayas! Pros for me:- - great sense of security walking on snow and ice - even when my girl was pulling (she's reactive to other dogs so I needed the grip!) - also works on slippery grass and mud (though this involves a lot more cleaning afterwards) - not too uncomfortable when walking briefly on pavement between icy patches etc - easy to use overall - quick to fit on for walks and take off for cleaning - the velcro band helps the fit and has stayed secure (if anything, the velcro is a bit too sticky!) - rubber stretches well, returns to size, and nothing has snapped yet - all the studs are still intact and seem quite firmly attached - will fit over wellies (but my fit was on the larger end on the range with my size in it so there was room for the stretch) Cons for me:- - spikes are quite sharp so I have to keep a keen eye on both my feet and my dog's paws when she's over excited - you can't just walk straight into a shop etc with these on - the spikes then do the opposite to grip, plus they can cause damage to surfaces (but, as said, are easy enough to take on and off) - rubber straps move slightly over the toe of wellies (but easily corrected and to be fair, these weren't designed for wellies!) - no studs on the heels does make the balance feel a little strange but I imagine this is to do with the best weight distribution in the snow/on the ice - not the clearest instructions on how to fit the velcro bands but it all makes sense once you've sorted it out the first time - the plastic bag they come with to keep them in is basically just a standard, thin 'zip close' plastic bag that didn't stand up to having the grips put in and taken out. I replaced it with a decent bag so that I can throw them in and out of the car. Overall for me: Great value for money - functioned well, as they kept me upright!
Review: Good - Bought these for the snow and ice the UK had in January they were a bit confusing putting together but I figured that out, they are easy to use and they did fit my boots and worked very well on the ice and I never slipped once I had these on, the only thing is that one of them keeps moving so I have to move it back quite a bit but I'm not sure if it is because it's the way I walk. But these are strong and hopefully can last a while

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will they be ok on pavements partly icy i.e. walking on ordinary ground briefly between ice patches?**
A: It’s a bit like wearing golf shoes or football boots ok for a few steps but would be uncomfortable for too long. Also the studs are metal and could be heavy if have dodgy knees. Hope this helps

**Q: can these been put on your shoes indoor before going out or you do need to put these on outside?**
A: If you have stone floors indoors then you should be fine attaching them while indoors otherwise avoid wearing them indoors - the spikes will dig into and scratch wood floors for example. 
In winter I leave the snow shoes on my old walking boots and put my boots on when I'm outside. You can leave the snow shoes attached to your boots. You may have to adjust them once you put your boots on to make sure they are secure.

**Q: What size is equivalent to size 10 uk**
A: I went for the Lareg as it says upto 10. They are a little bigger on sizes so worked out fine for me

**Q: I take a size 5 ladies shoe, so should i buy small or medium?  small are for size 3-5 and medium for size 5-8.**
A: Hard to say. I wear size 7 walking boots and I bought a medium size pair of snow grips. When I put them on my boots the seem to fiit well. There are adjustable straps so you can make it fit properly. Looking my pair I would say that a Small would cover a size 5 shoe  but a Medium would possibly be too big. On my walking boots the snow grip covers 3/4 of the length of the sole.

Took a bit of effort to fit, but once on they worked a treat, even on sheet ice. Highly recommended.
