**Q: Batteries will not go down the tube. Any way to fix this instead of returning?**
A: I didn't have a problem with that at all. When you do get the batteries in it works like a dream. I guess I return it and get one that works properly.

**Q: why is it not available in California?**
A: I purchased it and live in CA

**Q: Does this go both clockwise and counter clockwise?**
A: It works clockwise to individually twist a cord(s) in each of the 4 clasps. Then counterclockwise to twist 4 strands together.
