I just got this for my 15 month old and am so glad I found it. This is the easiest straw cup and so simple, it’s a wonder other cups are ridiculously complicated or too basic. We have used a straw water bottle of another brand that has too many pieces, and another simple straw cup that is too short and leaks. This one is so much better!! However, we used a honey bear cup with valve to train straw use, so my son started using this one after mastering the straw.Here’s why I love it:- Real straw (no valve at top or bottom, so it’s natural straw suction).- No biting on straw required to suck out water.- Soft straw that has a bump under the lid to keep it from being pulled out.- Only 3 pieces! Cup, lid, straw. Makes it easy to clean and not lose pieces.- Big enough for my toddler to hold with both hands and not need to lift really high. Lip under lid gives good grip, so no handles is no problem.- Pretty dang leak proof! Whenever this gets knocked over or held upside down, minimal drops come out of the straw. Lid screws on really well and is leak proof.- Clear material - I can see how much is in it and my son can watch water splash inside it.- Cute animal design my toddler loves!- Free of BPA and other toxins.- Strong material holds up to the “drop game.” ;)I can’t believe someone makes a cup that is exactly what I wanted and my son loves it! Get it!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.5 month baby loves drinking from this *by S***E on July 7, 2017* I was looking for a straw cup for my 5.5 month old and found this. This as well as the talktools honey bear work well on young babies as the straws are soft and quite narrow, so not too much water comes up. My baby old figured it out quickly, and somehow enjoys drinking from a straw very much. It's great because you'll never have to un-train a baby from using as straw (unlike bottles or sippy cups). The cup also doesn't leak much if it's thrown on the floor. A tiny bit of water flows out but then it stops. Clever design. I only wish the cup had measurement markings on the side so I could see how much the baby drinks. And if there was a way to cover the cup for travel purposes, that would be good too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and functional cup, but make sure to unscrew the cap before storing in the fridge *by J***. on October 23, 2021* We tried to transition our baby with a number of valve-based sippy cups that he could not figure out how to use. I gave them a try myself and realized that they all required immense amount of suction to even dribble out tiny drops of water, and they were also pain to clean if filled with milk. So we went searching for a straightforward valveless cup with a straw in it with some degree of leak protection (but intentionally not 100% leakproof) - this one fit the bill, and the baby immediately understood how to use it to drink milk! Very easy to clean with any appropriately-sized pipe-cleaner like device, and while the straw is a little bit discolored, we haven't had any issues with mold.However, as I mentioned in the title of this review, *make sure you unscrew the cap a little bit if placing in the fridge*. If not, the contents of the bottle will rise up through the straw and spew out until everything is in a giant puddle (other reviewers have noted this as well). I don't really get it - as the air cools in the cup, it ought to decrease in volume and if anything draw liquid out of the straw to fill that volume. But that is not at all what happens - the cup will entirely empty itself if left sealed in the fridge. I don't think it's capillary action either, because that wouldn't be fridge-specific, and this never happens when the cup is sitting on the table at room temperature.
