It was an absolute pain to install, not by fault of the part at all, but because it is just a difficult spot to reach under the hood. It took me about 2 hours to do it and I'm not much of a "car guy" beyond doing my own oil changes.My check engine light came on about 3 years ago during a long road trip, but then turned off a few days later. Then it popped back on and off two or three more times before coming on and staying on a couple of months ago. A code reader at the local auto parts store told me that the problem was the engine was running too cold because my engine coolant thermostat was stuck open.
