I would go medium. I wear a large and and extra large in other helmets. **Q: Is the sunshield removable?** A: It should be removable because the Vega website lists a Amber sunshield (Item #95-7803) for this helmet. Purpose of the Amber color is the same as wearing yellow shootin glasses; it brightens things up. I.E.
