Review: Very appealing - Very nice lamp. The instructions tend to skip certain steps and the included parts are generic for other models, so at times you don't know if you missed a step or if it's just an extra piece, but overall it wasn't that hard to put together. I followed another reviewer's suggestion and applied sealant to the wood a few days before putting it together in order to allow it to dry completely. One suggestion I have is to spray paint all the metal parts matte black or brown so that they blend in with the lamp once it's hanging. I noticed that the shinny silver metal parts stood out once it was hanging and being the OCD type that I am, I just couldn't stand it, so I took it apart and painted them. I think this made a big difference. Also, the lamp hangs down about 4' or more, which was too much for my taste, so I cut some of the chain links to make it shorter. I hope this review helps.

Very nice lamp. The instructions tend to skip certain steps and the included parts are generic for other models, so at times you don't know if you missed a step or if it's just an extra piece, but overall it wasn't that hard to put together. I followed another reviewer's suggestion and applied sealant to the wood a few days before putting it together in order to allow it to dry completely.
