Received in 2 days with my Prime shipping. Decided to open the box just to see if the knife is the same as it looks on the pictures in the listing description. Was pleasantly SURPRISED, the knife looks neat/elegant both in the box and in hands. Feels good in hand, the handle is nice, the blade is sturdy and extremely sharp -- see,s to be of a really good quality. Long story short -- my wife did not let me put it back into the gift box! Had to leave it as a kind of before-Christmas gift for her. She is happy :) Well, me too... Just had to order another one, but this time I am much more positive that my friend will actually like it! Review: The turnip slayer - Gave to father as xmas gift. But used it a bit before going home, it’s fantastic. The knife it was replacing was one he had from my great grandfather, probably 40 or 50 years old, and it actually broke in half the very same day I gave him this one! Trying to cut through a turnip that had had enough and decided to fight back, I guess. Anyway, the Kika Line avenged his fallen brother, and then went after some of the turnip’s co-conspiritors. It’s super sharp and has very nice ergonomics. And that video review where the guy cuts paper with it is not a fluke, it was the first thing we did with it. Mighty impressive. Cut some pepper with it afterwards, no problems. I don’t know how long pakkawood holds up, that’s the main thing I wonder about. And the blade says “stainless steel”, with no overt mention of carbon, so I’m hoping it’s easy to sharpen by hand but not sure. But no regrets with the purchase.
