Oil based ones are nourishing and easier to remove but are all very dissimilar. I find formulations with active ingredient CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES high on the list are the best for my skin type. Combination/Oily(summer). RetinA/Retinoid , glycolic, Vitamin c user. These formulations emulsify everything. No scrubbing or excessive rubbing.
