The grain refers specifically to the edible seeds of oat grass, which is what ends up in our breakfast bowls. It is commonly eaten for breakfast as oatmeal. They’re also often included in muffins, granola bars, cookies and other baked goods. What Are The Health Benefits of Eating Oats and Oatmeal? Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. They’re a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. Oats are rich in carbs and fiber, but also higher in protein and fat than most other grains. They are very high in many vitamins and minerals. Oats are high in the soluble fiber beta-glucan. How to Make Jumbo Oats as a Porridge? You could use water or just milk, or a combination of water and milk. Aksoy Jumbo oats do not require soaking overnight and can be cooked straight from the packet. Toast the oats in a warm skillet. Transfer the oats to a small saucepan, adding the water and milk (and salt if using) and stir. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for around 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
