I had planned to set it up for my dad, but I got side tracked. Finally, when my dad's desktop died, I had to pull out our new purchase and get the laptop all set-up, so he could use it!!! We eventually bought him a new desktop. When my laptop was stolen and the laptop saved the day again. Unfortunately, last month the power cord that came with it died. Why am I telling you this? Because I had no idea what kind of cord to buy and I realized in my hunt that neither do some other folks!!! I tried buying the cord that was supposed to fit my laptop, and it didn't fit at all. It wouldn't stay plugged into my laptop!!!So, I looked at the voltage on the old cord (18.5 volts), the connector type (mine is a 3 prong) and the end that plugs into the laptop (I eventually realized that the correct end is 4.8mm x 1.7mm.) And yes, I tried measuring it!!!After many searches and 2 or 3 other purchases, I found this laptop cord, and bought it. It arrived today and it works perfectly. I am so pleased!!!
