I'm an amputee above the knee on my left leg. I walk with a prosthetic leg but at home I'm in a wheelchair. I recently fell transferring from my wheelchair to my bad. So I had to crawl to the bathroom where I have bars to assist me transfer from my wheelchair. But if I'm floor it is very difficult because my right leg is weak. I was on the floor for over an hour before I made it back to the wheelchair. If that happens again I can simply crawl to new floor level chair and transfer to my wheelchair with no assistance from anyone.

Bought a year ago in case needed. Today my husband fell in the yard and could not get up. I ran in the house and got this seat. Rolled him over on it to sitting position and raised him up so that he was able to stand and walk. Best part it had been in the closet a year and was still charged. Best money I ever spent. Worth 10 stars

I am unable to get in and out of my bathtub. I have a lot of knee problems. This is perfect. You lift it into the tub. It suction cups itself to the tub. Then you use the control to place it in the raised position like you would sit in a chair. You get in and sit down like in a chair, then you use the control to lower yourself into the tub. Fill your tub with water, take a bath, let the water out. Then use the control to raise yourself out of the tub. Stand up, step out, done. It is so wonderful to be able to take a nice hot bath again.

Lift not quite tall enough for a “on the floor to stand up” result and somewhat difficult to get into the proper position on the device from the floor. I would be reluctant to use in a tub as the instructions say you can but the design is such that you could theoretically. Lot of compromises made in the design I suspect.

I was originally looking for a lift to assist picking up my wife from the floor after a fall. I found this lift on Amazon and viewing the video, I thought it might work well for that purpose. When we received it, I set it up right away to try it out. There is some charge in the battery so I was able to test it right away. It is about 3 inches off the floor when fully lowered, so I still need to be able to get my wife up onto the seat from the floor. In the video, the user had enough strength to lift himself to the lowered seat. My wife doesn't have that strength, so I will have to lift her onto the seat, but it is much better than trying to lift her completely from the floor. The chair lift will raise the person from the floor level to a seated level. The user would have to be able to stand from a seated position at chair height. But as a care giver, this is much more practical and manageable. There are wings on each side of the chair to aid in transferring the user from the chair lift to a chair, bed or even a tub.As I was reading the instructions, it mentioned to not leave it in the water when not in use. It wasn't clear to me that this was submersible and could be used in the tub. When I read the description on Amazon, I missed the bullet point regarding using it in the tub. The instructions show measuring the tub to make sure it fits, but the instructions do not cover it's use in the tub. Not sure if I was assuming correctly, I emailed the company. Cecilia responded very quickly and confirmed that it was designed for use in the tub, and she let me know that there was a video on Amazon about using it in the tub. I had two more questions after that and each time Cecilia answered very quickly and was very friendly. Until now, getting in and out of the tub is very difficult and dangerous for my wife, as she has little strength and balance and stepping in and out was too challenging. This chair is designed so that you can sit on the chair from outside the tub and swing your legs into the tub while seated. Then the chair lowers the person down into the water. You can raise or lower in and out of the water as needed for bathing and rinsing the various parts of your body. When the bath is finished, you can raise back up even with the side of the tub, swing your legs out and stand up on a secure rug or mat on the bathroom floor, without having to try to stand in the tub and step over the side of the tub. The controller is rechargeable and unplugs from the chair so that it can be charged away from the tub. The chair and the controller are both waterproof, and the connection plug appears to be sealed also when plugged in. The bottom of the chair has 6 suction cups so that it doesn't move in the tub. I did find that to take it out of the tub, as you to unseal each suction cup one at a time, they tend to stick back down when you go to the next one, so that was a bit challenging, but I figured that if I put a towel or washcloth under each suction cup as I pulled it up, that wouldn't be a problem.It is rated for up to a 300 lb person. I weigh 270 and I have tested it and it doesn't have any problem lifting me.Even though I bought this lift not knowing about its bath uses, I know we will get a lot of use with this chair lift especially for bathing.

I am not very much into giving reviews on any product I buy online but this time the quality of this product and its functionality calls for it. Buying this Chair Lift for me has been a tremendous help and a game changer in the care I provide for my husband. I was surprised how well this device work because is like having a portable small elevator from the floor to a sitting position available to you when you need it!I never expected to find this innovative and well-made product in the market when I started to shop for some aids or techniques to help someone who has fallen or slide to the floor to stand up with the least of the efforts from them or the helper or care giver. This is a product that really works, well built and very easy to handle. It is more than a blessing if the person who needs to stand up help themselves to be positioned on the chair but if that is not the case it cost little effort for you and any care giver to sit him or her on the Chair Lift since it has 2 extended ramps to the side that facilitates that person to be positioned on the Chair. It is easy to carry, though a little bit heavy, any regular standard size person can handle it with ease.The Chair Lift It is definitely a high quality, durable product with very sturdy material used in its fabrication. It is a definitely a plus especially with respect to accessibility, safety and care-giving in general.I have used it sometimes for my husband when he slides to the floor and can’t get back up. The caregiver and I positioned him back into the Chair Lift and he was up in his feet in not time! Definitely a great purchase and I highly recommend this product. It saves me time, it gives me a peace of mind knowing I can handle falls in case I need it, it gives me independence from external help and has made my life more stress free knowing that I can help my husband in an easy and safe way.The customer service is also excellent. There is a real person on the other side of the phone line willing to listen to your concerns and gives you immediate answers. It is really a nice surprise since most of the service provided for mechanical or digital devices you buy online are not that responsive.So, I definitely give this business five thumbs up!!
