It's a beauty! I purchased a bottle of cutting board mineral oil and it had good directions on how to initially clean and oil the board before using. I did notice a chemical smell as I pulled the plastic off the board but the cleaning method took care of that immediately. The underside of the of the handle cuts at each end are not completely finished is the only imperfection. It is perfect and I am sure I will enjoy it for many years!
