The strainer works great, and it keeps tea hot for a decent length of time. The strainer works really well and is a 2 piece basket design which is really easy to clean, but filters out the smallest particulates and keeps everything isolated.My one qualm with this product is the cap. Upon first use, I screwed the cap on after filling it with hot water. The heat inside the bottle made the plastic inner-cap expand causing the bamboo outer portion to crack on both sides. (This was literally the first use.)Overall, if your in need of/or would like to try something like this, for $9 you cant go wrong. I love that I can drink the tea with the infuser still inside the container. This is actually a rarity for the glass infusers on amazon. I accidentally bought a different brand and there's no lid to the infuser to inclose the tea. This means you'd have to remove the infuser before enjoying.Some have said that the "wood" lid breaks with the first use. I've used mine about hundred times without an issue. My suggestion is to allow the tea to cool a bit before placing the lid on.
