They were just slightly uncomfortable, but easy to use, and the slight discomfort did not interfere with my sleeping. I could tell that they improved my breathing while I was standing or sitting up, but when I laid down, my nose was still very stuffy, as usual, so it appears that my problem is further back in my sinus passages. I have gone back to using nasal strips; my breathing is slightly better with the strips, and without the slight discomfort of the vents. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but now it is a comfort and very much enhances my quality of like. I even had surgery and it still didn't help. These nose vent openers are the bomb when it comes to enhancing my breathing. I think it took me about 6 hours of wearing them to get used to them, but now it is a comfort and very much enhances my quality of like. I have to wear them while at home or driving until I can undergo other proceedures such a turbinate reduction and balloon sinoplasty, sleep study and repeat surgery on nasal folds. All I can say is that I hope that one of my medical proceedure will open me up to breathing through my nose again as these have. I love the packaging that they come in for storing. Apparently i was never sleeping more than 30 seconds at a clip due to apnea. Some of us are just blessed with 18" necks and 36" waists i guess. Anyhow, the cpap worked great, we were both getting better sleep. Over time i developed a habit of kicking the mask off in the night, much to my wife's dismay. It turns out that my nostrils / nasal passages would just close up randomly leaving me gasping for the air that the cpap couldn't get through. Then i found these nose vents, or as we call them, nose dingers. When wearing these nose dingers i never kick off my mask and all sleep well...until the kids wake up screaming in the night...
