YUGUO FARMS premium dried shiitake mushrooms are a convenient and affordable luxury. Sliced for quick and easy preparation. Simply steep for 20 minutes in hot water to rehydrate and then ready for cooking. Deep, complex savory flavor with a meaty texture. Proceeds from every purchase go towards local farmers and their communities. Building schools, healthcare facilities and scholarship programs. An excellent source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Vitamins: D2, b2, b3, b5, b6, niacin, choline and folate. Minerals: Selenium, copper, zinc and manganese. Amino acids: Lysine and leucine, loaded with phytonutrients and fiber. A few notes about the product, we do not use any sulfite during the drying process, nor any other preservatives, as many other companies do. We try our best to remove any stems when we harvest and bag the product, but it is common to have a few stems and some smaller “broken” pieces.

These never get soft even after having them in boiling water as it says.  I even tried longer.  Maybe it's just the way dehydrated is, however like rubber, I don't think so.
