## Description

Bring the comfort and tradition of Japanese tatami into your home with the FULI Japanese Tatami Mattress. Made in Japan using natural igusa rush grass, this slim, foldable tatami mat is designed to create a firm, breathable base for a Japanese futon. It differs from a traditional thick tatami floor and is easy to set up, fold, and store. The natural rush-grass structure absorbs moisture and allows air to circulate, helping create a comfortable floor space through the seasons. Its firm surface supports a stable Japanese-style sleeping setup without adding plush mattress-like softness. Place the tatami directly on a hard, flat floor and lay the futon on top. When not in use, fold the mat into sections and store it in a closet or against a wall to maximize bedroom space. Natural igusa brings a subtle grassy scent and calming texture to the room. Slight differences in color and weave are natural, and the surface may gradually change color with light exposure. Air the mat regularly in a shaded, well-ventilated area and keep it dry. The clean, minimalist design works well in Japanese-inspired bedrooms, guest spaces, meditation areas, and relaxation zones.

## Features

- Enjoy the look, smell and feel of these traditional Japanese rugs. We use the highest-quality rushes and Japanese traditional methods handed passed down many years to delicately craft each tatami mat individually.
- Tatami is made from rushes, a natural material, so it can regulate humidity. Because it contains a lot of air, it has excellent heat insulation and keeps the room cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
- Our tatami mat provides firm cushioning, allowing for enough comfort and stability. For added comfort, use our tatami mat with a futon.
- Japanese tatami mat absorbs moisture, sweat and odor, leaving the air feeling clean and fresh. Its rush material provides natural humidity control and air purification.
- A hard mattress helps keep your back and body straight and the spine neutral while you are sleeping. The same benefits apply to sleeping on the floor or with a tatami mat or Japanese rugs..Our tatami mat remains thin and compact even when folded into three. Easily lean it anst a corner or put it into storage. Maximize the space of your bedroom, and have a comfy bed to sleep on..Good futon and good tatami mats for a good sleep.

Very comfy tatami mat, excellent service from the seller!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid, well-made and easy to use and store.
*by M***H on 20 December 2025*

I have used this mat every day for the last two years, in combination with a bamboo-cloth memory foam mattress. Together on the floor feels like sleeping on a real bed. The rush grass mattress wicks moisture away from the mattress, and from the sleeper, very effectively - I can see how much moisture is collected on my wood floor. The mat, just like the mattress, can be folded into three during the day, and it dries off quickly and thoroughly. It is well made, firmly bound together and I can see no signs of wear or flattening. The stitching between the three panels is very very thorough indeed. Together with the 3-fold mattress above it, this mat has revolutionised my living, freeing up loads of space in my small house and offering a very comfortable low-cost solution,
