It was not hard to use, but it required lots of prep work. It was getting the measurement and then calculating how much each part (A & B) that I needed to use to mix the product. That’s why I googled and watched videos. Anyway, my coffee table now looks better than when I brought it new. I'm reading that I should pour in 2 batches? Are there any caveats for multiple pours?** A: I believe the product says to do the second pour around 4 hours. I waited 3 days to do my second pour with a very light sanding of 320 grit and a good cleaning/wipe down before the second pour. The sanding did not gouge the first layer or cause any imperfections. With my second pour I only got about 1/8 of an inch. I think you might have to dam up your project if you're looking for 1/4 inch. Good luck... **Q: Can I pour this into a mold up to 1 1/2" thick at one time?** A: Yes you can, but be sure you thoroughly mix the two parts together. If you do, you will have no problem. I would add, that if you pour the mix into a mold that is narrow and tall, like the graphite shaft of a golf club (something I did) you will develop noticeable heat which accelerates the cure, you can reduce the hardener to less than 1-1. Also, on thick pours, you will want to watch the mixture for the first hour and use a heat source to eliminate bubbles coming to the surface.
