It's integrated in to the rest of my system and worked great out of the box. If plugging in with multiple amps, I do recommend a ground-loop isolator (which I used). What I can say is that this thing absolutely thumps. My boat's sound system is deceptive, it doesn't look like it packs a punch until I power it on. But when it's on, hold on to your hat. I can say with certainty that this drives that sub beautifully. I honestly keep the bass level (on the remote) at 50%, because that's all I ever need. It really exceeded my expectations, and it works like a champ. I keep the amp under a seat (in Texas) where it could get really hot. But I never ran into any heat issues. In fact, I'd check on it, and it was surprisingly not hot. Even under some serious load. It also has gotten wet with no issues.
