Same happens on your friends side, and what does his TV outputs? Whatever you just said. This is the reason why you hear echo of your own voice while you are talking. The echo you heard actually traveled from your end to the other end and back. To reduce this you need something called AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation), my guess is either this is not included in portal, or not as good as it needs to be. **Q: What is a Puck?** A: A puck is a battery of sorts. The puck can be used to get power to the Portal. **Q: How do you interact with it?** A: You interact with Portal TV using the remote (provided) or with the Portal app after you’ve set up your device. **Q: Does this have the digital photos like the older portal?** A: Yes, when not in use and if your Portal TV is on the device will display photos. You can add albums as well from the Portal app that display on your TV.
