I discard and purchase more. I sale wine so i honestly don’t know what they do with the bottles but I keep mines of my own **Q: do these screw on caps work for carbonated beverages like champagne or cider ?** A: We purchased and use with homemade brandy. We have not used with carbonation. They do seal very well and required force to open once sealed. **Q: Are the caps as good as useing corks or are they meant to be temporary?** A: Caps are actually better than corks in the form of safety. Companies that use corks lose roughly 5% of their wine to bacteria that ruins the wine. Corks have been used for centuries, so people think they are prestigious and the thing to do. Not so much. J'ai commandé deux boites de bouteilles de 12 bouteilles chacune, j'ai reçu ma commande bien emballée, je n'ai pas eu aucune bouteille de casser, ça a été parfaite comme expliqué dans la description du produit, je suis très content. Je veux m'en acheter deux autres boites de 12, cette fois avec de capsules rouges mais le vendeur m'a dit que les capsules rouges ne sont pas disponible pour l'instant.
