There is a lot I like about it: The look, the ability to secure it with the cable, size… But… It has recently been failing to latch and lock shut. The locking mechanism does not always catch to secure the lid to the body. This had been happening without my knowing until recently. I now need to check and verify (sometimes β€œlocking” it with mutiple attempts) until it securely locks. This is a failure. A locking gun box that does not reliably lock is worthless to me. I need to know that it has my firearm secure where others (to include children) cannot get into it. Again, I really want to love this box. But I’ll be looking elsewhere for a replacement. *I have another LifePod for another firearm, and that one is so far working well.UPDATE: I communicated with Vaultek to see if there is a corrective action to solve my problem. As a result they are sending me a replacement LifePod and prepaid return for my faulty unit so they can determine what went wrong with the one I have.
