You should not solder to them if you decide to replace after it loses capacity (A Spot Welder Would be the appropriate Method due to high temp issues with soldering)... which based on most lithium 18650 batteries.... will be a very long time before losing capacity... probably 1000 or more discarge/ recharge cycles... and then you will typically still have 70% of capacity... reducing the 2-2.5 hours down to 1.4 to 1.75 hours...
