A: I simply Googled ingredients in Ninben no TSUYU no MOTO.  Here's the answer:Ingredients. Water, Soy Sauce (Water, Soy, Wheat (Gluten), Salt), Dried Bonito Extract (Fish), Kelp, Sugar, Salt, E621, Disodium Succinate, E631, E627, E270. ALLERGENS: Contains WHEAT, SOYBEANS, and FISH.
Friend of mine makes his own dash (savory soup stock or dipping sauce) of bonito (skipjack tuna) flakes, dried seaweed or kelp, and soy sauce.  Tastes amazing.  This stuff is the same thing, a short cur.  Just dilute it quite a bit to taste.
