Review: Great Space-Saving Shoe Organizer - I’m very impressed with this over-the-door shoe organizer! It was pretty easy to assemble, feels sturdy, and holds a surprising number of shoes without taking up any floor space. The metal frame and mesh shelves are much more durable than the fabric organizers I’ve used in the past. I love that it keeps my shoes visible and organized, making it easy to find the pair I want. It fits securely over the door and doesn’t wobble when opening or closing. Even with multiple pairs of sneakers and sandals, it remains stable. If you’re looking for a space-saving solution to organize your closet, this shoe rack is definitely worth it!
Review: Read this before assembling - I bought this shoe organizer for my wife and I am very happy with it (she is too). I tried one of those organizers that is like a big sheet with a bunch of pockets on it... useless. The pockets were too small to hold 90% of the shoes she has (just one shoe per pocket), and shoes that have any kind of weight to the heel pull on the pocket and hang way out away from the door. That thing got returned. But this one I like. The "shelves" are deep enough to hold just about any kind of shoe, and the construction is sturdy enough that I feel pretty confident that it will last. The metal tube frame is very lightweight but the design is good and it seems like it will do the job long term. The hooks that go over the door are padded on the inside and the frame has plastic endcaps on the parts that touch the door, so I don't expect it to do any damage to the door. Now, as far as the assembly goes - yes, it comes with a full-size, multi-page instruction manual that is well written and has large, easy to comprehend diagrams, but the sequence of steps should be changed up to make the process much easier. The manual instructs you to assemble one vertical support and attach ALL of the horizontal rods in the first step. After having done this, you are supposed to slide the single piece mesh shelving over all of the horizontal bars. Imagine this and you'll understand. The mesh is extremely lightweight and porous, and the sleeves that fit over the horizontal rods are fairly snug. This means that you will have to slide a couple inches onto one rod, then a couple inches onto the next rod and so on. The whole time you are doing this, the mesh that you put over the first few rods is actively trying to work itself off. This is pretty frustrating and it takes a relatively long time to get all of the mesh over all of the rods. Here's my recommendation: 1. Assemble the two vertical supports and hang them over the door at the proper distance apart. 2. Connect the top horizontal rod to one side and slide the top sleeve of the mesh material completely onto the tube. 3. Loosely connect the first rod to the other vertical support so that the mesh is trapped and can't go anywhere. 4. Then slide the remaining horizontal rods into the remaining mesh sleeves and loosely connect both ends to the vertical supports. 5. Repeat this until all of the rods are in place and then tighten everything up, making sure not to pinch the mesh at either end. 6. Stand back and marvel at how easy that was. This is how I wish I had assembled it. Efficient. Stable. Zero frustration. Try it out and let me know.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can the over-the-door hooks adjust to accommodate 1.7" door size?**
A: Yes.

**Q: How far from the top hook is the first cross bar? My door has a coat hook that comes 5 inches down so wondering if it would fit without taking it off**
A: Yes about 6 inches but the shelves are actually some sort of cloth being pulled by the bars and very wobbly. The hook would have to rip thru that cloth and whatever you hang will get in the way. The worst thing is that the top bar is too thick and the door of my closet would not close unless I was willing to sand down the top of the door frame, not a good idea. Whatever you do if you get it, put it together fast so you'll have time to return it.

**Q: Is this 1 piece or 3??? Everyone has different pics!! Mesh or no mesh??**
A: Hi! Since there are several shoe racks advertised on the same page, the images on the reviews are mixture of all the racks. Our 6037-7037-WHT-SIOC White 36-Pair Over The Door Shoe Organizer features a unique metal and mesh design to accommodate your shoes. The mesh- lined back prevents shoes from falling out while also protecting door from scuffs. The shoe rack can store up to 36 pairs of shoes. I hope this helps.

**Q: Lost the rubber end cap/tube inserts that keeps the rack from sliding off the bracket & scratching the door, does anyone know the size or where to buy**
A: Most hardware stores should be able to accommodate with this.

Absolutely love this shoe rack. Actually bought two one for me and one for my husband. Makes a neat and organized addition to our closet. Easy to put together and very durable. The rack has mesh and metal racks and holds all our shoes with room to spare. Shoes fit on racks good without sticking out when you go into the closet.
