Doublebase Diomed Dry Skin - clinically proven, high performance emollient for problem dry skin including eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. The natural oils in healthy skin form a protective barrier which keeps moisture in and irritants out. People with dry skin conditions, such as eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis, can have a shortage of these natural oils. The end result is dry, chapped, flaky skin which is more prone to irritation. Many eczema creams, psoriasis creams and dermatitis creams have a high emollient oil content. Doublebase Diomed Dry Skin combines the high emollient oil content of a cream with the easy absorption of a gel. It also contains glycerol which is a humectant (it helps to hold onto water within the skin to reduce dryness). This combination helps soften, moisturise and protect the skin by trapping moisture and restoring its natural protective barrier. Doublebase Diomed Dry Skin's innovative gel formulation breaks down when it comes in to contact with natural salts in the skin; meaning it's easily absorbed in to the stratum corneum (top layer of skin) and provides a lasting, protective barrier of oils, even after gentle washing.

Review: Very good for eczema. However a bit greasy! - For a long time, especially in the winter’s I’ve struggled with eczema and my skin occasionally being dry/flaky. I recently had a flare up on my arms and bought this in impulse. After a week or so of using it - I can say this is definitely worth the purchase! However, it does have a greasy after texture which can be unpleasant especially if you want to do work after applying (hence why i have 4 stars). I can get past this though - just because it works super well! (I recommend pairing with a body oil like aveeno!). There is a faint smell but it goes away after applying. For me, once rubbing it into the skin it’s quite smooth and creamy but not overly thick or thin. The longevity is great and makes my body feel smooth for a good 5-6 hours!

For a long time, especially in the winter’s I’ve struggled with eczema and my skin occasionally being dry/flaky. I recently had a flare up on my arms and bought this in impulse. After a week or so of using it - I can say this is definitely worth the purchase! However, it does have a greasy after texture which can be unpleasant especially if you want to do work after applying (hence why i have 4 stars). Wow what can I say about the product. I have problems with my kidneys especially infections and one of the side effects can be a very itchy face and your face doesnt doesnt have a visual rash just intense heat you feel like you've caught the sun badly and you face is on fire its awful infact. No pain just intense itch and very red blotchy very red face and can go onto neck ears and back of neck especially the hair line. So last week I was desperate I was using the steroid cream that the doctor had prescribed but was only supposed to use that sparingly and twice a day. Omg I needed something else, dont get me wrong I bought other none perfumed creams but I needed a Emollient cream. As soon as put this Doublebase on my face its helped so much . It calmed it down while I was waiting for the antibiotics to kick in for my kidney infection not everyone gets these side effects ive got very sensitive skin. Im allergic to sun. And I have to cover up when im out. So my skin is to the extreme and worked for me, this is life saving cream or I Id be looking for the nearest bridge to jump off. I hadn't slept in three night . And I walked around the house with ice packs on my face just to calm the heat down. But through paracetamol and antihistamine and this cream I managed to cope. The cream was so soothing . I would definitely recommend this amazing cream to anyone who as extremely dry and sore skin,inflammation of the skin. Its got a greasy feeling so tie your hair up if you can . But the greasy feeling goes it doesn't stay. You need a greasy substance to help with your skin. I was using epidem probly the wrong spelling thats a very good cream too but I needed some with a greasy texture to it so it absorbed into my poorly skin. Cream formula makes it tight and taught . My skin today is calm until tonight and then I will reapply my Doublebase for dry skin Eollient. Good luck hope this long winded recommendations has helped you xx
