He is really able to explain many of the concepts that I have struggled with when reading in other books in logical ways that I could apply. Everything from lens selection to final processing is covered in just enough detail to get you there without overly drawn out explanations to bore you with. Even things I thought I understood, like aperture and shutter speed selection, were explained in such a way as to reinforce what I knew and add to my knowledge without seeming redundant. I wish I would have found this book a long time ago, it has helped me grow in ways that I have not even realized yet. If you are serious about learning digital photography and want an easy to read, comprehensive guide, this is one of the finest books available on this topic.
