Review: This does work, maintains water and Oder tight integrity - I used this in my RV toilet. The seal was hard and not functioning correctly. Clean everything very good. Turn off the water, use disposable gloves on your hands. Apply this product to the seal ring of the flapper valve. I let it sit over night then came back the next day and applied a 2nd coat. Did not use RV for a time? Now the toilet retains water between uses and maintained a water/oder tight seal. It just says silicone. I will say this product works great and I'm very happy with it. I use it on the gaskets of my whole house water filters so they don't dry out and leak. I went with a food grade silicone as we drink and bathe with that water. **Q: How thick is it? Is it, at least, like petroleum jelly viscosity?** A: Perhaps a little thinner, but very similar. **Q: is this aquarium safe?** A: This is a lubricant, food safe, and likely aquarium safe. **Q: Does it contain ptfe (teflon)? I do carry remaining tube in RV for various rubber grommets, windows door seals. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This works well lubricating the large O-ring on a whole house water filter canister *by J***L on November 2, 2023* Those GE whole house water filters come with a tiny tube of lubricant for the large O-ring. It won't last very long (maybe a year). If you attempt to reinstall the filter canister with a dry O-ring, it can bunch up and not seal well and water will then leak out around the top of the canister. All that's needed is a dab or two of this food grade silicone lubricant spread over the O-ring and then installation is so much easier. This tube should last you a very, very long time.
