I refused to toss them so I figured I had to come up with something to "fix" them and the snaps did it, once I figured out how to get the "female" end to attach to the bib. Because yes there is a "trick" to it. One side is slightly raised higher than the other side, That side goes towards the sharp prongs. I have tossed more of that side because I've done it wrong, but I bought a big enough box that shouldn't be an issue. Lol. There are YouTube videos on it to help, which do help. You can also hammer them on.I went through the velcro and my hand strength isn't the best so some don't hold the first time I found out that the best way to release the snaps on the thicker bibs is to stick my thumbnail between the snaps to get them to release that way. If I remove the velcro, the fabric is way too thin, so I stopped doing that. With the snaps, I made 11 bibs useable again, 11 bibs that would have been tossed in the trash for no other reason than the velcro went bad. So far I'm not regretting my decision. Lol. And I really like how some of the outer rings are colored, so you can match them to whatever color your fabric is. This is the first time I have put snaps on anything. I’m struggling with placing a snap of this size through fleece fabric that has fleece binding over the edge. I’ll check the questions and look for answers after I try the small hammer and the separate snap fixer. I’ll see if I can contact the seller (if they offer a link) for helping the question section doesn’t offer the information I need.
