They'll feel soft when the product is first applied but as it wears, the roughness comes back. This keeps the skin soft as claimed. The applicator makes it easy to use just the little at a time you need. It goes on easily and sinks in without feeling sticky or greasy. While first applied it does give your lips that soft glistening look as shown in many photos here. That does wear away as the product is absorbed, but you are left with soft lips. I did get the gummy bear scent and I love it. It actually gave me the immediate memory of the Spree red candy hearts I used to love as soon as I smelled it though. :) Very yummy to smell, doesn't taste and the scent isn't strong nor do you continue to smell it while wearing the product.
