If you're a heavy hitter (which is counter productive to what this is supposed to train in the first place.) then you may need to put some tape, or tie a knot under the quick release buttons once you have them set in order to keep them from slipping, but as long as you keep in mind that while this is similar to a double end bag, it's not. This is to train speed and reflexes, not power. With an actual double end bag, you can work on all three. So as long as you aren't trying to kill the ball with your punches, the buttons shouldn't slip much at all. My one concern is that the ball can move on the string, but it doesn't with normal use. I wonder how well this will hold up over time. But for now, it's a solid purchase. Review: Constant readjustment required! - The product has a major defect that needs to be pointed out immediately. The dowels or tightening the bands need to be readjusted every 30 seconds or so. You can get through a single workout without constantly having to dowels because the elastic on either side keeps slipping in the ball gets lower and lower with each hit. Frankly, I'm very disappointed that this product would be for sale without a better system for holding your selected tightness in place. Other than that, the product is great for Speed and coordination and it is a nice concept. I still like the product quite a bit because it is really great for quickness and timing. I haven't found another bag that equals this bag in that respect.
