A lighted touch control appears when you plug in the unit. With it you can set the temperature and set a timer if you want. You set the temperature and wait for the wax to melt, it melts quickly compared to other units. After melting, you can adjust the temperature to what is comfortable for your skin. The display shows a real time temperature progression as it raises and lowers. The wax that comes with the machine is smooth melting, comes off skin easily and as a bonus leaves my skin very soft. Everything that you need comes with the unit, ie the wax, plastic disposable gloves for your hands and booties for your feet, over gloves and booties to hold the heat in, and a brush to apply paraffin wax to other body areas (knees, shoulders, back, etc) that could use some soothing but are too big to dip into the machine, etc. One of the main reasons I chose this unit was the reviews of the excellent customer service. I have a health problem caused by anything scented that will cause bad bouts of coughing and difficulty breathing. Since there wasn’t an option to choose unscented paraffin wax, I just hoped there was a possibility that the wax included would be unscented. Unfortunately it was the lavender. I could smell it the moment I opened the desertcart shipping box. So I searched and found the Ella Bella unscented wax and ordered it. When I texted to activate the free warranty I was asked how I was doing with the machine. I replied that I hadn’t used it yet due to the scented wax and was waiting on the unscented to be delivered and explained my issue with anything scented.
