My particular body type, this is right where my belly sticks out the most, so it made a slight bulge in the middle for me. However, this was not very noticable under clothing and it gave a very smooth appearance. Secondly, I did have some slight irritation under the arms from the straps after wearing it all day. However, it only became noticeable near the end of my day and was not bothersome enough to make me need to remove it. Here are all the things I loved about this product:1.The price is reasonable.2.It is surprisingly comfortable for shapewear and held me in but did not restrict my body or cause pain in any way. I wore it for over 12 hours and it was comfortable enough that I didnt think about it.3. The material is strong and very breathable. It wasn't too hot to wear at all.4. The crotch closure had enough give and adjustment room that it was easy to undo and refasten and it was long enough to fit my longer torso.5. The leg bands did not dig in! I rarely get a panty style shapewear because the leg bands always cause bulges and cut into my thighs painfully. These did not.6. It does not squash your butt. It lifts slightly instead of flattening and has nice ruching to give some definition to your backside.7. Nice wide shoulder straps. It felt secure all day and neither dug into my shoulders nor fell off them.8. It was able to stay in place without any irritating rubber grips.9. The hook closures were strong, decent size, and well sewn. I wasn't afraid they would break like most.10. The cotton gusset in the crotch was a nice addition in case you want to wear it without underwear.Overall, I loved this product and would probably buy more colors. Like if you had on a sports bra and your straps are showing. It looks weird… I don’t know how these are supposed to go on your shoulders, but they can’t go over your chest comfortably. Also, your underside of your bra has to sit over the scoop in the front. Which paired with the straps, makes anything you wear look like you have on a push up bra.
