Not because the ink ran out, but because the nib starts to blunt and the drawing line becomes thicker. To keep the lines consistent I switch pens more regularly. Long lasting as well. The colour is black, as for it being waterproof it is to an extent. The kitchen area hasn’t required a touch up in 18 months. The bathroom, as it has shower watering hitting and more abrasive cleaner used does start to come off but a quick touch up every 6 months works well. Brilliant value for money and so much easier than re grouting. Dries quicker. Great coverage. Highly recommend. Review: Really Effective - These are great, bought white to touch up the Kitchen & black to Revamp the Bathroom. After reading other Reviews about the nib, I suggest running the Pen along the grout with light Pressure to protect the nib for longer use. I was able to use the whole Pen. The black is a bit more tricky & took a little more Patience, I used wipes as I went to tidy up. Worth the effort & now just need to see how it fairs with Water when using the Shower.
