Paint on the floor and on my hands were easy to clean up and wash off afterwards. I had tried the magnetic primer from a local home improvement store a few years back. Technically it worked, but the magnet application was not consistent, there was a very strong odor when applied and it was oil based. It was also more challenging to clean up afterwards. Review: This was the second can I bought. The first can was new never opened and the paint was great. I needed a second can because they recommend 3 coats so I purchased it. This can came USED with dried paint on the outside and can was 1/4 empty. I used what I could because I had a deadline I had to meet but I didn’t have enough to finish the job properly because I didn’t have a full can. I’m disappointed. The hold wasn’t as strong as I had hoped. **Q: will this hold a quilt? looking to do wall basting of a large quilt. If I paint a 6" strip the wall width would it hold the weight of a large quilt?** A: It would definitely hold it with good magnets if just the one layer, but only if you don't paint over it. You will probably need to do 4 layers of Magnetize-it, and 6 it the maximum you are supposed to use. **Q: Is it safe for electronics to sit next to a magnetic wall? The product did work but I felt like I got SHAFTED! ### ⭐⭐ Review *by J***R on 11 January 2026* I’ve painted a lot. This isn’t easy to work with at all. Not a beginner project. Extremely thick and gloopy. Maybe with a professional paint mixer you could get rid of the clumps but shaking and stirring doesn’t work. And by the time you’re partway through the can, you need to remix all over again. Maybe from a paint store it would be different. Maybe the 4 cans I bought each at on Amazon warehouse shelves too long and that’s why it was so clumpy (I assume it’s the metal particles that stuck together)? Prep your areas REALLY well. It sprays and splats off a roller. Very little coverage per can (it’s VERY thick) and I needed 5 coats to get any magnetic effect. After the first coat I was committed but I was close to giving up.
